What type of light is used to read the UV/IR Invisible Ink?

The UV/IR ink can be read with either a black light or an infrared light.

Are the Hewlett Packard inks water based?

Yes. All HP inks are water based and environmentally friendly.

Can I shake the cartridges to see if it is empty or force ink out?

No. Don’t shake the cartridges at anytime this will cause air to enter the nozzles and destroy the internal components.

What do cartridges weight full and empty?

What is the shelf life of a cartridge?

HP products have a shelf life of 12-18 months.
FlexPrint Aqueous has a shelf life of 9 months.
The rest of the FlexPrint line has a shelf life of 12 months.

Does Versatile Ink come in a bladder?

Versatile does not come in a bladder but see our Industrial Manifold System for bulk options.

Do you sell genuine HP products?

Yes. We purchase direct from Hewlett-Packard.

Why is your packaging so generic looking?

We purchase large volumes of ink and they come in generic boxes

Are the HP spot color cartridges a fast dry ink?

Yes. HP colored ink dries faster than regular black ink on many different paper stocks. Drying may also require a heat source.

How many impressions (addresses) can a cartridge/bulk produce?

A cartridge can produce about 35,000 depending on dpi and font. A bulk can produce about 350,000 depending on dpi and font.

Are all FlexPrint inks made to print on Aqueous coated stock?

No, only FlexPrint Aqueous can.

Do you sell white ink?

No, at this time white ink is not available.

What is the difference between UV curable and UV/IR ink?

UV curable ink prints black and requires a UV light source to cure the ink. UV/IR ink prints invisible ans is not visible byt the human eye. UV/IR ink can be read by either a black light source or an advanced optical system.

What is the difference between UV curable and UV/IR ink?

Can we match PMS colors?

Yes, we can match PMS colors.

Do tabs have timing marks (black lines)?

Yes, there are timing marks on all clear and translucent tabs regardless of roll size.

What is the core size of the tab rolls?

All tabs come on a 3” core.

Do tabs and labels come in specialty sizes?

We can make tabs and labels in a variety of sizes. For special order sizes, estimated lead time is 5-7 business days.

Nozzle-to-Paper Distance

Proper nozzle distance is required to help insure quality text and graphics. We recommend a nozzle-to-paper spacing of 1.0mm to 1.5 mm. The higher the nozzle-to-paper spacing reduces print quality causing fuzzy text or feathering.
